Vehicle: Mercedes Sprinter 903 - 2006.

Fault: Non start in Switzerland and smell of diesel fumes in the cab.

Repair: This was a customer who only wanted us to sort out the issue abroad. Black death refers to the injector seals leaking on the 903 Mercedes Sprinters. Carbonisation occurs with the emissions and diesel reacting to the air coating the injectors in a bakalite substance. This all needs to be chipped away & we hoover it so as not to fall into the cylinder. We use a mini tool to draw out the seized injector and make sure it is all clean. On this job we replaced x2 Injectors, leak off rail and the clamp bolts. Took around 6 hours from start to finish and escort them to a filling station.
